Picked up at Freddy's in a 22oz. Special white label says " One Hop Wonder Batch 12; Exclusively brewed with Citra Hops; 100 IBUs"

Pours a murky dark orange, with a white head that falls to ample lacing. Smells of citrus, and pineapple with floral notes. Taste is moderate malt sweetness up front with an assault of citrus. Restrained bitterness, doesn't seem to be 100 IBUs, but the pucker is just right IMHO. Well balanced, alcohol is barely noticeable and kept in check by the bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium and not too thick; I could drink this all day. As it warms up I get more sweet pineapple in the aroma, flavors are melony-apple: not in a bad way but am character of the hop; bitterness is more appearant and is reminiscent of citrus rind pith; carbonation is medium-high and helps to keep this afloat. No fusel alcohols or off flavors, very clean hop and malt profile. This gets better with each sip! I'm going to stock up on this to drink on this winter! Pliny- you have a replacement, clean out your desk and be gone by lunch please!

A: Poured golden orange with good carbonation and a small white head

S: Plenty of citrus, bread and some caramel

T: Caramel and citrus, mainly orange peel and even some melon. More subdued than the bottle I had on the citrus and hops

M: Nice, lighter to medium bodied, plenty of taste and hops

D: Pretty good overall

Review from notes; 6/12/10.

Med full body, crisp, with a slightly oily hop mouth-feel and moderate carbonation.

Nice malt presence upfront with great floral hop bouquet and undertones of tropical fruit.

Finishes clean with an amazing floral hop note balanced with a mild and crisp bitterness.

Overall a simple IPA solidl hop notes, great balance, crisp finish; very fresh tasting.
