Served in a shaker, Hoppy Holidays is a dull, burnt orange with an eggshell head that leaves heavy lace, very nice patterns.

Smell is pretty hoppy, citrus, some dank, and sweet malt. Not as strong as I expected.

Taste is pretty malty, even though it's a fairly hoppy ale. Kind of sweet, the citrus notes from the hops accentuate the maltiness, but it's not really over the top, really a bit under-whelming as a DIPA, but works as a NW winter warmer due to the maltiness.

Mouthfeel is drier, slick, medium bodied. There's a watery smoothness that reminds me of a cask pour, but it's not.

Drinkability is okay, it's pretty smooth, and the ABV is well hidden. As a malty holiday ale, I really dig it. As a DIPA, not so much, it needs much more aggressive hop flavor, especially considering this is fresh from the source on draft.

A: Poured a murky orangish copper color with a nice white head and some bubbles.

S: Not much on the nose which leads to believe it was not dry hoppe, if so lightly and there were no aromatic hops added to this

T: Bittering hops were plentiful. As far as the taste goes it leaned toward a pine, lighter floral theme, not much booze detected. SOme caramel, some crispness, english malt was used in a small amount of this

M: Nice, coating and balanced but more so malty than hoppy, this tasted like a malt heavy version of Alesmith Yulesmith to me

D: Pretty nice and easy to drink
