On tap at Harmon R and B downtown Tacoma WA 3.16.11 $4.00 pint into cool shaker glass.
One finger light tan head medium dissipation no visible carbonation. Nose is citrusy up front some pine resin with bready dryish malt. Taste is actually more tropical than citrus, some bubblegum notes. Medium mouthfeel, not much effervescence. Good drinkability got increasingly bitter as it warmed. OK, but not in the pantheon of PNW DIPAs, which I guess is my fault being so frickin' spoiled, I mean I had HUB Ace of Spades on tap the day before, it's a big step down from there.

There is a reason why this beer is in the top 8 of 130 in the National IPA challenge.
A: Poured a yellow orange color with a good nice head
S: Fresh citrus, hints of pine, caramel
T: Caramel pfront then it rolls into a nice fresh citrus blend of orange peel, tangerine, pineapple, with floral and pine notes
M: Nice fresh, clean, a bit of hop oils, not so much bitterness on the end but it has a nice hop bite
D: Very good and I would drink this again
