A: Very dark brown with a 2 finger, beige, head.
S: Sweet licorice, salt, metal, grain. Interesting to say the least!
T: Sour berries, Smoked bacon, Sweet licorice, Brown sugar, Hint of coffee.
M: Very smooth and wierd. Feels almost like the yeast didn't get to create enough alcohol. Oily. Low carbonation.
Ok, this is one of the wierdest beers i've tried to date. It does make me wonder what Morgan@Ölands gårdsbryggeri wanted this brew to taste like this. It'
s not a really bad beer, just so very different. Feels experimental.

Liquorice was added to the beer during the brewing.
The liquid is clear and dark brown, almost black. The two finger head is warm brown. Some lacing occurs.
The smell is dry, hoppy and a bit sour. Smoky notes (more smoked ham than campfire), a touch of sweet liquorice and strong cheese.
The first taste is sour, almost tart. Then, elegant notes of sweet liquorice emerge. Some saccharine-like sweetness and some more bitter-sour notes. The body is quite low. The aftertaste is somewhat bitter with notes of liquorice and a mild smoked flavour.
The carbonation is medium to low, the liquid thin and a bit watery.
A bold and experimental brew... Did they achieve what they wanted? Do I like this beer? I... I... Don't know.
