saw this for the first time on a trip to Ise, tried it and liked it, wished it was available in Aichi. a month later - my wife brings home a couple bottles from the local store. surprise surprise!
looks standard enough, perhaps a shade darker than your average macro lager. the head is nice and dense but brief. smells mellow but unique and fresh. it smells a lot more like a german lager than most (or all) J macros. it is refreshingly lacking that sickly sweet tap water smell. a glance at the bottle shows this as being bottled 5 days ago, i guess it really is fresh.
this, or the dunkel, has to be the tastiest japanese lager i've ever had, and i've tried tons of them (yes, almost all have been macros). it doesn't have as much flavor as, say boston lager, but - to me - what it lacks in flavor it makes up for in drinkability. i like it, so smooth and balanced, could drink it all night.a little more expensive than yebisu, but much cheaper than inuyama loreley and many other micros here. recommended!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
