My favorite beer made in Port Townsend! Not a coniseur, just a gal who likes this beer!

Served in bubble pint glass. Poured a slightly hazy brownish amber color with about 1/4 inch of off-white head that had good retention and lacing.
The aroma was nicely biscuity, full well-rounded malt, with just enough hops to add an interesting tang. The flavors were similar, full malts and tangy hops.
The body was very good, full, smooth and well rounded. Drinkability was excellent, the beer went down very easily and I could see having several of these, which I rarely do with this style. Overall, a very good example of the style. Worth a shot if you see it.

A casual and agreeable pale malt ale. Simple, functional, and reasonably satisfying; theres nothing here worthy of intrigue or offense. The malts are pleasantly fragrant. The body is unfiltered but relatively clear in comparison to other PT beers. It does show a lack of carbonation consistent with PTs roster and my pint lacked head or lace. Smells somehow cleaner than the taste.

I really liked this amber because the empathis is on the malt rather than making this a toned down pale ale. Pours a real nice red/gold colour with a decent head. The nose is malty and the taste is almost like a lighter Scottish ale with a great balance. These guys seem to be under most PNW 's radar and I hope their distr. increases as I like all their beers.
