Draft sample at MBGF 2006.
Poured black color with a moderate frothy brown head that diminished slowly with good lacing. Heavy toffee roasted malt aroma. Medium to full body with a sticky texture. Heavy bourbon flavor with a heavy sweet bourbon finish of long duration.
This is a standout beer.

I sampled this at the Michigan Brewers Guild Summer Fest.
A: Dark black, no head.
S: Bourbon, oak and espresso.
T: Alcohol up front, mocha and bourbon in the finish. Lots of warming alcohol. Slight acidity.
M: Moderate to full body (fairly well attenuated), a little chalky; moderate carbonation.
D: It's a sipper.

tasted this at the michigan brewers guild winter beer fest.
from my notes i was served a jet black sample with a dense brown head.
the aroma was rich with vanillia, burbon, and chocolate.
the flavor had a wounderful burbon, vanillia, chocolate, malt, and hint of spice. the mouthfeel is very full the beer coats the inside of you mouth and throat as it goes down.
this was one off the best beers i had at the festival. very drinkable flavorful and enjoyable.
