Out of retirement !
Served on Cask at the Sussex Arms, Twickenham into a half pint pot
Dark blonde to light amber in coulour with a small frothy white head - looked in good form!
Hops and citrus dominated the smell, though neither were of an overbearing nature
Tastes were of grain, straw, hops, citrus - probably lemon, perhaps a hint of grapefruit
Mouthfeel was ok, not a strong beer by ABV and little lacing on the glass perhaps a little thinner than I prefer, but this is not to detract from a decent cask ale with a good bit mroe flavour than others at 3.6% ABV!

Tasted last week at the Pembury Tavern, Hacney, North London. Served by a handpump in an over-sized lined half-pint glass.
A: pale amber hue coming with a thick off-white tight frothy head with pretty decent retention; very low carbonation as a cask ale should be.
S: sweet orangey-citrus and sweet flowery note, a bit like Cascade hops--overall the nice fragrant hoppyness dominates, smelling pretty rich and full for a 3.6%abv. pale ale~~
T: softly malty and chewy grainy upfront on the palate; the fruitiness leads towards a dryish and mildly spicy aftertaste full of hops... backed by a tinge of bitterness deeply at the back.
M&D: despite its reasonably tasty flavour profile, the structure and body of this beer reveals that it's actually slightly off form--a bit thin and overly smooth without enough healthy inputs from refreshing fizziness. I'm sure it could've been much better when served fresher, but I couldn't refer this light beer to English IPA. It's more like a Pale Ale to me.
