Light brown redish color with a thick beige head with eternal retention.
Aroma with predominant notes of homemade cold coffee. Hints of caramel, vanilla and a bit of orange peel.
Flavor with notes of caramel, spicy and citrusy hops, roasted coffee beans, vanilla and some cocoa. Dry aftertaste with a medium bitterness.
Light body with high carbonation.
Perfectly balanced Coffee Porter equally showing spicy and citrusy hops, coffee and malt.

A: Pours a dark brown color with a fingers worth of head that fades down to a thin cap
S: Coffee and roasted malt up front. Some bakers chocolate in there as well. Not much else
T: Follows the nose. Starts off with the coffee and roasted malt and goes into a light sweetness that balances the bitter roastiness. Finishes with lingering coffee
M: Medium bodied with plenty of carbonation
O: The mouthfeel really kills this beer for me. Over-carbonated and not full enough. Other than that, it's pretty good. But man, I just can't overlook the body...

This is my first review so bare with me. I also want make note that the BA stated ABV is 5.4%
whereas my bottles indicate that the ABV is 4.5%
The look is very dark and clean and comes to a thick creamy lasting head. It has a very deep roasted coffee aroma with the same taste. A very pleasing aftertaste.
I have never been much of a Porter drinker in the past but I found this to be an amazingly tasty brew that has expanded my brew horizons and I will definitely be revisiting Shipyard Coffee Porter.

I tried this from the bottle chilled in a glass, shared with Gabe.
The color is deep brown with translucent clarity and thick 3 finger cream head with lasting retention. The smell is good with lots of coffee in the aroma with an earthy quality. The feel is decent with moderately dry body with roast and moderately low carbonation with gentle bitterness and sweetness.
The taste is good with a moderately roasted coffee type taste that merges with malt and yeast adds a little complexity of dried fruit with a mostly dry and mildly bitter finish with some residual roast of coffee on the palate. This is a decent porter with coffee, I would recommend it if you enjoy coffee in beer
