A thanks to the captain of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of hops, grains. Taste is citrus, grains, light malts, hoppy for the style. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent and highly drinkable beer.

From the 16 oz. can stamped B289 1308:21. Sampled on July 26, 2019.
The appearance is a slightly foggy golden-yellow with a modest and lasting white foamy head.
The aroma emits sensations of tropical fruit, fruity, and a much lower profile toasted biscuit or cracker character.
Light to medium body. Smooth texture.
The fruity hop bitterness is up front in the taste but this is probably an older can as it also seemed a little stale.
Toasted malts are underneath but the finish is moderately bitter and lingering.

Welcome to my late start in/of Even More New Odds & Sods Beer Sunday (Week 747)! I was out of town for the weekend & only got home a couple/few hours ago. Phew!
From the CAN: "It’s not just about having PRIDE in how we make our beer, it’s about having PRIDE in who we are and what we choose to stand for! I Crack!ed open the vent & beCAN a slow, gentle C-Line Glug into the awaiting glass. There was great CANticipation on my part for this one since June is Pride Month & I had really wanted to have it at the beginning of the month. I either did not buy it when I first saw it or worse, I bought it & it is buried in the backlog. 8=( No worries since today, I am ready to go! It foamed up beautifully to form just under two fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, bone-white head with excellent retention, slowly falling back down. It looked like meringue above the lemon pie filling in my glass! Color was a pretty Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 - 5) with just a slight haziness that might be attributable to chill haze. I keep my reefer pretty cold since it is also used for food & if the beer clarifies during this review, I will let you know. Nose left me curious since it smelled grapefruit-citrusy which is a tad odd in this style. NEWSFLASH! I JUST noticed that my CAN (& their website) now identify it as "Hoppy Pride Pilsner [-] A Hoppy Pilsner". I will have to send another ChANge request as a result. I am reviewing it as a Pilsner, NOT an AIPA, just to be clear & on the record. The website does not list the hops, but it does mention "35 IBUs" which is a little high for a Pilsner. Interesting. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was more towards grapefruit-citrusy in terms of its bitterness & hewed more closely to a Czech-Bohemian Pilsner as a result. The hops were certainly more pronounced, but they were not of the Noble variety, either. This was an odd little duck, straddling an AmeriCAN take on a European style. I CANnot, in good CANscience, review it as an AIPA since it is now clearly labeled as a Pilsner. OTOH, it is not stylistically correct & I must review to style, not to personal taste. Finish was dry, bitter & very refreshing. At a mere 4.6% ABV, it would be great for quaffing during the S.F. Pride Parade as Dykes on Bikes ride past. 8=) BTW, the haze never clarified, but it was a minor bugaboo, FWIW. YMMV.
