Brewed by Shipyard as Cappy's house beer. Menu says it's a "light" pale ale.
Copper color with a thin tan head. Few splashes of lace left by a half collar retention.
Peppery tobacco hop aroma. Tastes initially vapid with peppery hops to the rescue in back. Nice lingering bitter. Malt doesn't contribute much outside a mineral "cleanliness" and a vessel for the hops. I guess that's where the "light" comes in.
It'd call it a bitter but I won't argue with the tap handle. Fine to wash down some seafood.
