Tasted by half-pint at my local JDW pub, the Half Moon, East End London, during the Spoon's May beerfest. According to the Festival leaflet, it's made with Willamette, Fuggles, Goldings hops.
A: bright reddish-orange hue with great clarity, coming with a thin layer of pale-yellowish foam; lightly carbonated body.
S: a profound toffee-ish, bitter-sweet and sticky-textured malts asserts itself upfront, while a sweet flow of orangey+flowery+peachy note from Willamette hops (presumably!) reveals after a good swirl--pretty pleasant~~
T: an extremely fruity (bitter orange) flavour buttresses an underlying (lightly) roasty edge of dark malts; gradually, a mild tinge of herbal hops and more bitter-sweet maltiness linger at the back, leaving a dryish, tangy sour, and clean finishing touch.
M&D: smooth-textured with a sound profile well-balanced b/w mixed hop inputs and a toffee-ish malty theme. Not a bad offering from this new micro-brewery!
