a really quality little pilsener here, one of the more mild and to style beers we had in here, but super fresh, well crafted, and highly drinkable beer, my dad, who is a big fan of such things, loved it. its got just a little haze to it, perhaps a keller pils, and a nice white head. the malt is super light, lighter than any import for sure, but still full of the classic light bready earthen pils malt flavor, just fresher and a little more delicate than most. the lager yeast isnt overly flavorful in here, and it stands back enough to let the mild grain lead the way, but it dries this out wonderfully, has a softly floral alive vibe rather than a baked or crackery complexion, and without a lot of hops in this one, it finishes particularly abruptly on the swallow. this seems organic in nature to me, natural and sort of from the earth, a little less refined then what we are used to in the style, but in a way that almost is increased refinement if that makes sense, like allowing it to be the way it naturally wants to be without attempting to flavor it more or clear it up seems like a greater attention to detail and expression of itself than a forced bittering hop or filtration or any of that, its awesome like it is, and they were wise to let it be. exceptional take on the style!

A:
Pours a clear straw color with slight chill haze and a couple fingers of rocky white whipped cream. Good retention; sticky lacing. (4.25)
S:
Lemongrass, green apple, herbal hop bite. (3.75)
T:
Follows the nose, hop tea, light cereals, light apple. (3.5)
M:
Light body with light carbonation and a twangy finish. (3.75)
O:
This is a decent pils.
It is nice-looking. There is some fairly strong aceteldehyde that keeps it from really being great but likewise it is not so pungent that I would say it is an off flavor here though as it warms it gets to be too much. (3.5)

Bottle: Poured a clear golden color pils with a nice pure white foamy head with OK retention and limited lacing. Aroma of light cereal notes with residual sugar and subtle dry hoppy notes. Taste is also a mix of dry cereal notes with some residual sugar notes and light dry leafy hoppy notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Enjoyable but hops don’t shine as much as I was expecting.

Bright straw color with lots of activity. Tight foamy and frothy white 3 finger head, lasting around 5-10 minutes, with good legs. Flavors of flowers, lemon, grapefruits, sweet grains, lager yeast and dry hops. Light slick, kinda oily medium body with a sharp crispy feel. Medium strength finish, leafy and dry floral feel with plenty of citrusy bitterness, dominant residual grains and wet corn more like an American lager, gets quite thick on the tongue and doesn't end clean. A more robust version of a regular pils, not much noble feel, plenty of fruit zest too, kinda tropical. Too oily and not well rounded with okay freshness. Though very flavorful having rustic pale ale or Saison similarities. Overall very good quality craft.
