A: Pours a dark brown color with a beige colored head. Lacing is minimal, which is kind of expected for the ABV, same goes for the alcohol legs. The retention is excellent though. The head doesn't look really "English" with much bigger bubbles and is quite soapy in appearance.
S: Cinnamon is what comes to me first, which is quite unusual for an English porter. There is some leather and smoke, as is much more usual. Some light dark chocolate and mineral notes.
T: Cinnamon is still there, but much less strong than in the smell, which is nice. Now, it balances quite nicely with the dark chocolate and coffee notes. The minerality is quite present, as it should. Strong smoke and hazelnut notes and a little bit of leather.
M: Medium body with medium to high carbonation, which is a bit too much for the genre.
O: This is definitely an original take on an English Porter which is quite contradictory to the name "Classic English Porter". Taste and mouthfeel wise, it kind of feels like a Porter-Brown Ale hybrid. This is an interesting beer, not amazing but definitely solid.

Bottle: Poured a black color porter with a nice large brown foamy head with OK retention and some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt with some dry black chocolate notes and subtle coffee notes is enjoyable. Taste is a good mix of roasted malt with some black chocolate notes with some subtle coffee and a dry finish. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. A good rendition of a classic English style porter.
