Other than the quickly falling head, this is a lovely looking beer. Leaves a small amount of spotty lace. The liquid is amber and nearly clear.

Yeasty aroma with a mild hop bitterness. Mildly Belgian smell.

More malty than the smell indicates. The swallow has a strong yeast bite with a lighter hop finish, but its long lasting. Relatively thin. Overall, I don't find this beer to be as lacking as some of the other reviews. It would not be my "go to" beer but there is nothing off-putting about it either.

Label describes this as an ''Ale rousse multiculturelle'' I don't think I need to translate. 341ml bottle.

A-Looks quite fizzy and seltzery. Head gone in about ten seconds. Amber liquid is full of bubbles.
S- Some sour fruit a bit like a berry cocktail. Caramel, woodiness and bland yeast.

T- Much like the smell this is a bt like juice. Woody and malty finish. A little boiled vegetable.

M- Thin with low carbonation although it might feel like that because I lifted the bottle high, unsuccesfully trying to build a head

D- Easy to drink like juice but uninteresting so I don't want another sip.

I often felt like buying this because of the novelty of the label but always passed because my basket was already full. I will never buy it again.

Bottle: Poured a clear ember color ale with a large foamy head with average retention and very minimal lacing. Aroma of fruity caramel malt with some light unrefined grain taste at the end. Taste is also dominated by some fruity ester with some strong caramel malt and light toffee notes. Body is quite full with good carbonation. Interesting take though a bit too strong on caramel malt.

"Ale Rousse Multiculturelle." 341mL brown glass twist-top. No date. Acquired from a recent trip to Super Marché Rahman, Montreal.

Appearance: Pours a ruddy brown with hues of ground cherry red with some thin off-white head that recedes quickly. Mostly clear, no sediment.

Nose: Belgian-like fruit esters, some light plastic aroma and then some caramelized sugar/malt aromas as it warms slightly.

Palate: Medium-bodied and not what I was expecting given the nose. The primary flavor is akin to sesame crunch candies. Seriously. Some light acidity there, and a little hop note that fades quickly back behind the malt/yeast flavors. I think this one might be leaning towards slightly oxidized, but it's still within an acceptable range where I can't tell if it's on purpose, or old.

Notes: An interesting beer. Unlike anything I can think of. Does that make it great? No, but it's worth a go. Just wish they dated the beer so I'd know for sure.

Picked up in Trois Riviers. Pours a pale and foamy. Aroma of yeast and malt and alcohol. Medium mouthfeel, approachable. Medium plus mouthfeel from the yeast. Much of a sweet taste, though not cloying. cannot detect bitterness or complexity or much of anything.
