341 mL brown bottle. Brewed for Dépanneur de la Rive.
Pours a dark brown, slightly hazy with a few particles in suspension. Thin tan head.
Strong apple cider aroma with some smoke.
Flavor starts off with sweet malt, molasses, slightly acidic apple cider and woodsmoke followed by grassy hops, hot alcohol and a dry finish. Full-bodied with very high carbonation.
This is an unusual scotch ale with lots going on.

Another exclusive Scotch Ale, this one brewed for Dan from Le Dep de la Rive, a beer store in Cap-Rouge. It says on the label that it's an Imperial Scotch Ale, not sure what that means but anyways.
Poured from a 341ml. bottle.
Appearance: Pours a dark brown body not quite opaque because i can see my fingers through the glass. Cherry red tinges when held to the light and forms a thick, 3 finger tan head.
Smell: Caramel, smoke & butterscotch?
Taste: Major smokiness when first tasting it with maltiness & kind of sweet. The smoked feel permeates the taste a little too much but settles down a little as it warms. Finishes with a tinge of bitterness. Caramel also rounds out the taste.
Mouthfeel: Smooth and a little light. Not too carbonated maybe a teensy bit watery.
Drinkability: It drinks well but i find it lacks a depth of flavor that would make me want to revisit it.
Overall: With Imperial tagged on it, i was expecting a more robust brew but it kind of fell short in that area. Taste is not wanting but lacks a little complexity. Was a little let down by it.
