what a random find, not sure ive seen beer from these guys for sale in idaho, and if i have, its been a long time, yet here this thing is, in a can no less, i thought i was dreaming. its a pretty exotic pils type, yeasty in a complex way, seemingly can conditioned and super lively, not crazy fresh to my senses but real good anyway, awesome to see their stuff out this way, i hope there is more coming, been a huge fan for a long time, a very unsung operation, especially in these parts. unfiltered blonde color with a hard to control white head seriously like five inches high the way i poured it, and i can raise it beyond the rim of the glass by a full inch, stays well carbonated the whole drink too, very pretty, love this kind of foam. the nose is a little tired, fading noble hops, lightly metallic, crackery dry pils malt, old world lager yeast, very subtle rustic fermentation character too, could be open lagering, not quite bretty or saison-like, but not that far away either, subtle but its there, and i think thats where this gets much of its intrigue from. the flavor has a little fatigue too but its good, i love the ferment on this, and its dry, cereal forward, minerality is unique, and its less european overall than expected to me, kind of its own thing, french canadian pils? some bitterness and mowed lawn character from the hops, some citrus there too, lightly peppery, and pretty dynamic overall as it warms up, light drying funkiness to it, fully effervescent, well grounded, some body, very agricultural to me, the kind of lager i would expect from a saison maker of their ilk, wish i was catching it fresher, but its nice anyway. fingers cross for more dunham beers on the way!

16oz can from Brewers Haven. Hazy yellow pour, huge, billowing frothy head leaves big chunks of lacing on the glass. Yeasty, bready aroma, sweet, lemon. Taste is grainy , bready, yeasty, sweet with a touch of lemon. Hefty, creamy feel. Really tasty!

16oz can. Poured out a crystal clear, golden yellow color with a good-sized, fizzy head of foam. It left thin rings of lace on the glass. It smelled of crackers, bread crust and a subtle funkiness. Sweet caramel taste with earthy notes and a crisp bitterness.

Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. Can is dated 5/3/22, which could be March 5, since this is from Quebec.
Appearance: nice golden-yellow hue with a light haze and a finger of frothy eggshell foam atop. Hazier than most pilsners, but still very pretty.
Smell: yeasty malt aroma with some notes of grassy/noble hops. I think it smells rather nice.
Taste: there's a nice malt character here, but it is also yeasty almost to the point of being funky. The hops are subtle but tasty, and bitterness is light-to-moderate. I think it could be cleaned up a bit, but still, pretty good.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: not too bad a beer, but yeah, it could use a little cleaning up.

From a 16 oz. can dated 05/03/22. Sampled Nov10, 2022.
It pours a heady golden color with moderate clarity.
Aroma of barley grains, bread crust, grass, and lemon.
Light mouthfeel.
The taste is sweet and spritzy. Yup, grass and grain. Mildly dry. Not a fantastic pilsner but it'll do.

Poured into a pilsner glass. Pours a light to medium golden amber with a fine, two finger white head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of lightly grainy pilsner malt, grassy hops, light graham cracker and lemon. Flavor is grainy biscuit malt, grassy noble hops, rye bread and light lemon. Solid hop bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A nicely hoppy German style pilsner, with a dryer, slightly tart malt body than typical for the continental ones. Malt is mostly biscuit with moderate graininess. There is an interesting mild tartness that is reminiscent of rye, although I don't think that is use in this lager. A somewhat dryer, hoppier take on the style. Refreshing.
