Nose of roasted malt, almost roasted coffee with hints of sweet. Maple syrup, yet added to the drink, does almost none. The taste is quite bitter, with an aftertaste of bark maple syrup rather than itself. Besides, beer is far from a great sweet. The addition of maple syrup is negotiated as far from extreme, just a discreet but very enjoyable. The finish offers a good IBU both herbaceous (the taste of the bark maple) and roasted (for the taste of coffee beans)
