Went up to Oskar Blues Liquids and Solids in Longmont, Colorado yesterday to try some Barrel aged Oskar Blues goodness. Alas, they are no longer barrel aging so the bartender pointed me towards this one. Pretty good.
Pours are deep dark brown, nearly black, with a little light brown head. Aromas of alder smoke, mesquite, oak, vanilla and roasted malt. On the palate, medium bodied, nicely balanced between the bourbon and the smoke.
