Pours a black color. 1/2 inch head of a tan color. Good retention and slight lacing. Smells of sweet malt, oatmeal, slight pale malt, hint of hop, hint of roasted malt, and a hint of chocolate. Fits the style of an American Stout, Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of slight roasted malt, sweet malt, hint of hop, slight oatmeal, and a hint of chocolate. Overall, average appearance, good aroma, body, and blend.

Pours pitch black, small tannish head of foam, some lacing.

Light smell. Some mild bitterness from roasted malt and oats with a strange bit of sweetness.

Light oats and roasted malt but not as dry as I was hoping for. Again, it has a slight sweetness like that from a Milk Stout.

Carbonation is okay but the body is thin.

One pint and done.

From a 16 oz can into a snifter. No date.

A-A normal to aggressive pour produces about one and one-half fingers of mocha-brown head. Retention is so-so, with about a minute passing until the head drops to a cap. The beer is nearly black and still in the glass.

S-I smell a little bit of roasted flavor, lots of oats/oatmeal, some cocoa and milk chocolate, and a bit of cream. It is semi-sweet and simple, but not bad for something that professes to be an oatmeal stout.

T-The taste tracks the smell with lots of oats, a little bit of roast, some chocolate, and a hint of bitterness on the short-ish finish. It is not terribly complex or huge and wild, but it drinks well.

M-The beer is medium to fuller in body with a foamy carbonation that settles softly on the palate.

O-This may not be a beer to sit around and think about, but it drinks well enough and offers a nice hit of sweet oat flavor. It is good-looking to start and while the oats/oatmeal are very obvious and a touch heavy, there is the slightest bit of roasted intrigue in there on the finish. I don't need to drink a ton of this beer, but I wouldn't turn it down if somebody offered.

Poured almost jet black from 16oz can into a Pint glass, huge 4 fingered tan head erupted even with a careful pour and took forever to subside to finish the pour. The aroma held some roasted malt richness but also a citrus/metallic scent, a hint of smokey sweetness was also in the aroma. Tasted of bitter roasted coffee with a malty and slightly sweet finish, creamy feel at first that slipped into a thick aftertaste of bitter chocolate/coffee with a citrus like tartness. Overall it's not bad and really kind of grows on you as you continue to sip your way through, wouldn't mind tasting this again...got it in a mix 6 and consider it a good find for that reason as well.

A rather pedestrian dark beer with mostly blasé character. Body appears dark red, almost brown with a quickly disappearing head. A faint roasted grain aroma barely comes through. The taste comes across rather flimsily with unremarkable, rather weak roasted grain flavors; some bitterness. The mouthfeel at least does some justice to the oatmeal component of the beer; smooth and medium bodied, dry finish.

A pretty sad example of a stout. Flavor and aroma really lack any memorable substance. At least the mouthfeel comes close to the body of a stout. Weak and forgettable.
