This a Cherry version of Rogue Issaquah favorite. I don't know what the brewers did with the cherries as the bartender at the bar I got this at (not the brewpub itself) didn't know. Poured into Chalice. Poured a hazy orangeish-amber, darker than most Tripels, with a thin head that quickly dissipated leaving light lacing. Typical tripel aromas with just a hint of cherry. The flavor is a little more sour/bitter than is typical of the style, with the usual yeast flavors very subdued. Full satisfying body. Nicely drinkable with the usual tripel caveats, warning of the sneakiness of the alcohol. Basically an average tripel with a little something extra from the cherries. Worth trying if you see it, if not just try the regular Menage A Frog.
