Clear golden yellow with a modest foam in the Maredsous goblet. Poured from the 32 oz growler filled at the brewery restaurant today. A whiff of malty wort. Some malty substance in the mouthfeel.
Fairly rich and malt-forward with a nutty note. Some resiny taste and an acidic edge. The aftertaste is just bitter and unpleasant. I wish they would get some better hops at Skagit River. This seems to be a perennial failing-- otherwise decent beers with a flavorless overly-bitter finish.
