I have to give it a total failure as a IPA, missing any note of a Hop.
Right from the nose nothing stands out.

A: Clear blonde with a nice white head, some retention, leaves a nice lace for an IPA.
S: Cat-pee on a gooseberry bush!
T: It's a bit catty, but there's some pleasant tropical fruit, smooth bitterness and the alcohol is really well hidden.
M: Smooth, moderate body has a very light hop acidity and a nice crisp finish.
O: I liked this a lot. Really easy drinker for its weight.

Pours a clear golden amber in the Westons Cider glass with a dense white foam. Pleasant mouthfeel with that prickly beery sensation. There is a faint hoppy, flowery note, but not much aroma. Very thin body with only a hint of malt if you use your imagination.
For such a modest hoppy flavor, this is just ridiculously bitter. I don't even see any redemption in using this stuff to flavor a more flabby brew. All it would add is a dose of medicine. Heading for the sink now. From the 22 oz bottle bought at Skagit Valley Food Coop in Mount Vernon.

Pours a hazy, yet transparent golden body beneath the foamy, white head which slowly dissolves to leave a sticky white lacing grabbing the glass.
Generous bitter hop aromas of floral with a hint of pine/wood and a touch of bread like malt. Hops are earthy and to repeat very flower and wood like.
The flavor is more bitter than some other IPAs I've had recently although not In a bad way. Again they are floral and woody with a biscuit malt and a very pronounced floral finish.
Medium in body and mouthfeel with a biting bitter finish.
A ver nice floral IPA with great character and a nice twist from the citrus norm.

22oz bottle into a tulip. Pours a nice golden color w/ lots of little floaties in it, assuming this is an unfiltered brew. Big bright white head settles to a thin film of foam, lots of sudsy lace clinging to the glass.
Aroma is bright and floral, delicate. This is no pine or citrus bomb. Fragrant.
Taste is surprisingly bitter up front with more of the floral notes. Pale biscuity malt holds it all together with a gentle touch. There's also a sort of metallic taste, maybe from the water, that gets in the way.
Mouthfeel is medium-bodied, thirst-quenching. Assertive hoppiness gives it a sharply bitter finish that lingers.
Overall a unique approach to the IPA. Probably more akin to an English IPA or the original NW style IPA than the more citrusy, dry-hopped West Coast style. Enjoyable and a welcome change of pace.

Poured from 22oz bomber into a pint glass.
Appearance: medium orange hue with a touch of haze and practically no effervescence. Head poured a finger of frothy ivory foam.
Smell: citrusy, earthy hops sit atop a lightly toasty, biscuity malt backbone. Not my favorite combo, but well-enough executed.
Taste: quite citrusy right up front, whereupon the biscuit-heavy malt takes over. Same notes as the aroma: not quite to my taste, but competent.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a low level of carbonation and a moderate creaminess. A little more carbonation would help a lot here.
Overall: a middle-of-the-road IPA. Dry and earthy in character, it doesn't tickle my fancy, but it is not an objectively bad beer.
