Served in straight pint glass. Poured a clean, clear dark amber color with 1/2 inch of tan head that had decent retention and low lacing.
The aroma was slightly sweet malts with some gentle noticeable in the background. The taste started out with the same sweet malts and had some hop bite in the middle of the tongue. The beer had an oddly sharp finish that lingered and there was just a bit of a sour/funkiness thing going on that grew as I worked my way through the pint.
The body was mostly the typical medium of the style, but with the finish being a bit too sticky (and that funk lingering as well), I had to gig it a bit. Overall, a basically decent example of the style that was knocked down a bit due to that weird funk thing. You could probably safely skip this one, but trying a pint won't kill ya either.
