Served in straight pint glass. Poured a clean, clear medium-dark amber color with about 1/2 inch of light tan head that low retention and no lacing. This beer was much darker than any other example of the style I've tried, but I haven't had a lot of them.

The aroma was mostly gentle malts, with just a bit of yeast spice adding some balance. On the tongue, the beer had a good grain flavor, just a trace of salt, a touch of yeast and a clean, dry finish.

The body was good, nicely smooth and even. Drinkability was pretty good, the beer went quickly and smoothly. Overall, a nice little beer, it's good to see the brewery try a style that's not widely done in the PNW. Worth a shot if you see it.
