Served in straight pint glass. Poured a thin pale yellow color with less than 1/2 inch of white head that had zero retention or lacing.
The aroma was mostly neutral, with some light citrus and floral hops being the most notable aspects. There was a very light malt presence underneath the hops. On the tongue, it was the same story, light malt, light hops, and, sadly, an acidic/bitter finish that left an unpleasant lingering taste.
The body was a thinner than typical, but was nicely light and refreshing. Drinkability would have been good, except for that acidic ending. Overall, a slight disappointment. The Gospel IPA, also brewed by Skagit, is one of my favorite local IPAs, so I had hopes for this. Maybe test drive a small glass before you commit to a pint and see if you like it better than I did.
