Quite dark with long-lasting beige foam in the Belle-Vue Gueuze glass. Pleasant roasty aroma. Sudsy and mouthfilling. Taste is also quite dark with distinct sweetness and roasted grain and a touch of burnt malt. There is just a slight a bitter edge, but enough to give it some character. This is more of a Porter with the malt and higher alcohol. Overall it's a rich and tasty quaff in the more robust style. Definitely not a Newcastle or Samuel Smiths. From the 22 oz bottle-- I still like them.

Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. No date on can, but I picked this up at the brewery less than a week ago.
Appearance: dark amber-brown hue with no haze to the body and a thick finger of frothy tan foam. Seems legit!
Smell: mildly sweet, with a nutty, toasty, and caramelly malt character. There’s a bit of yeastiness here that I think could be cleaned up, but otherwise a pretty solid brown ale.
Taste: a little bit sweeter than the aroma, with a little bit more toasty - biscuity malt character than, say, caramel - chocolate that you might get in the style. It’s not bad or anything, just not really to my taste.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: this is not likely to be my go-to brown ale, but it’s not bad, and I’m sure it has its audience.

16oz can (dated 11/12/20, I think. Shit is damn near unreadable. Why even bother?) Poured into 14oz teku. Poured a solid (no ambient light penetrated, but my pocket flashlight showed through), clean, clear, very dark brown with an inch of tan head that had good retention and moderate lacing.
Nice, gently sweet, malts had the front of the nose, and some soft floral/grassy hops propped up the back.
Very similar on the tongue, semi-sweet malts and earthy hops.
The body was smooth, easy, and had a medium-sweet finish.
Drinkability was great, an easy brew to quaff whilst sitting by a fire (if I had one) on this snowy Longest Night of 2020.
Overall, a very nice example of the style. Most certainly worth the grab if you see it.
