Winthrop Brewings signature ale has no head or lace and a sullen lack of carbonation. This was my first Winthrop ale and unfortunately this signature would come to define most of their beers. Outlaw is shadowed goldenrod color with a grainy aroma and understated, balanced bittering with a protracted English-style bitter finish. At 3.8% ABV, it is a very casual session ale or lunch beer with modest but drinkable qualities.
