A - Pours a dark reddish amber with a 1 inch head. Layer of foam throughout. Not much lacing.
S - Hops. Nice citrusy profile. A bit of acidity to the nose. Nice and bright.
T - Hops dominate, more at the forefront than with most ambers. There is a little caramel character to attempt balancing the hops but this is definitely a beer with Washington pride.
M - Fairly full-bodied. Medium high carbonation.
D - Nice and refreshing with a beautiful, bright profile. I will buy this one again. Much better than some of the crowd pleaser ambers out there.
p.s. Am I drinking a different brew than all the other reviewers? I am not getting these esters and caramel character at all.

Appearance has a deep reddish amber with a thin head leaving a nice lace. Smell is lightly roasted with a subtle light malt sweetness. Taste has that same roast and sweetness as in the aroma, but with an earthy note and mild hops and a bit of spice. Mouthfeel is smooth that goes down slick having good carbonation. I'd say a fitting name for this Amber, since it has a bit more kick in the palate than most I've tried.

pours a semi-cloudy brown with a very thin white head, and some lacing.
smell is faint, caramel, and malt.
taste is thick, caramel, malts, and hops, ends a little bitter but more of an english bitter than an amber ale.
overall okay, but not that great.

A pleasant, no-frills ale with a satisfying balance of malt body and resolute bittering derived from a distant English lineage. The body is dark bronze and tasted fresh despite minimal carbonation. And the malt sugar aroma was enticing.
Routine in some respects, but not at all dull.
