I had this beer on-tap in a mug at Special Brews in Lynnwood, WA.
Appearance: attractive golden hue with no haze and a thin layer of white foam that nonetheless leaves a nice lace on the glass. I like it.
Smell: lightly funky with some good cherry character. The overall effect is extremely medicinal, with this cherry-and-phenol cough-drop effect. That said, it's not at all bad if you don't mind the medicine connection.
Taste: the flavor doubles down on the medicinal aspect. It's not the beer's fault that a Brettanomyces funk combines with a good cherry character to create a flavor extremely redolent of OTC pharmaceuticals. I still like this beer, though.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: big phenolic cherry medicine. Who doesn't love that?!
