hops, hops and more hops.
I tasted this with the brewer, Terry, and he just about blew my taste buds out with the first mouthful. Luckily I persevered and was rewarded for it. This is an amazing beer, full of fresh hop aroma up front, but with a short finish that brings you back for more (and more). Unfotunately, I had a few miles to cover, otherwise I could have settled in with this one.

Its a frequent occurrence that brewpubs serve beer at improper temperatures. Usually this means ales served too cold. In this case I was served Snipes pilsner at a temperature that was clearly a notch too warm. It caught me a bit off guard, but the beer itself survived the injury.
I drank this rotational beer from a pilsner glass whose curvature lent considerable grace to the presentation as did the tall white head and excellent showing of lace. However, the beers slight haziness and low CO2 worked against it. The color was corn-yellow, but the taste was all malt with a modest malt nose. Overall, Snipes pilsner shows simple styling with a cautionary bit of bittering towards the finish.
