Served in straight pint glass. Poured a clean, clear medium-dark brownish amber with just a thin cap of off-white head that had low retention, but left a bit of nice lacing.

The aroma was solidly malt-sweet, with just a hint of hops in the background. The taste was that of your basic Amber, malty, a bit grainy, a touch of biscuit and a tickle of hops. On the down side, there was just a bit of a funky aftertaste that left an odd finish.

The body was nicely full and smooth, but wasn't heavy or filling. Drinkability was pretty good, except for that funky aftertaste, I could see sharing a couple of pitchers with friends. Overall, a decent enough example of the style, worth a shot if you see it.
