Served in jelly glass (points off to The Copper Hog for this hipster move). The beer poured a solid black color with less than 1/8 inch of light tan head that quickly dissipated to a thin ring, and left no lacing.
There was a nice blast of citrus and pine hops at the front of the aroma, with just a bit of roast, and a slight funk. I noticed this in another beer I had from the brewery the same night, and I wonder if it's from the yeast? The hop and roast flavors were similar on the tongue, and the citrus lingered at the back.
The body was a bit on the thin side, especially for an Imperial, but was nicely smooth. Drinkability was OK, but that slight funk kinda put me off a bit. Overall, a solid enough beer, except for that slightly odd aspect, probably worth a shot if you see it.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
