This is a pretty uniform, not all that interesting, few-notches-better-than mediocre beer. It looks good with its nice golden amber hue and thick off white creamy head that laces in nice patches. The retention is good. The nose is quite nice as well with a bit of florals, pale malts, crystal malts, some biscuity grains, and lots of lush earthy aromas. The beer is quite well carbonated from the tiny efforvescent bubbles that you can see from the clear contents.

The taste is fairly bland, light bodied, a touch toasty. There is definitely some toffee and diacetyl but it comes off rather flat, and with not much efforvescence or tinge. There are some biscuity notes, a slight hop presence, some caramel flavors, maybe some nut like characters hidden underneath. Its an okay beer, easy to drink, but not interesting or complex. The mouthfeel is slight, not much aftertaste, or for that matter much to remember this beer by.

The beer pours an amber color with a thick frothy offwhite head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is good. It has a fruity, pale and crystal malt scent that screams of yeast esters. The taste is decent. It has a smooth, pale malt flavor with just enough crystal malts to add proper color and caramel sweetness. The hops are mild at best but are present in the finish. The mouthfeel is fine. It is a medium bodied beer with adequate carbonation. This is a good drinking beer. It's well brewed and true to style. Nice work.

Though there is no head, the color is a terrific dark orange. Thick and hazy look. Glows like a lava lamp. Any kind of head at all would have been just a nice bonus.

The aroma gives some burnt amber malt business going on, as well as some caramel. Not really bitter, but rather slightly sweet. The caramel notes swseeten up in the nose with warmth. Hops are sweet, flowery and mild. Wow, the caramel really bursts through.

The taste is bitterish amber malts, balanced by sweet caramel and a hint of butterscotch. It might be just a tad too much on the sweet side for me. It also might be just a bit old, but it's not at all unpleasant. Very very butterscotchy.

Feels smooth and buttery, but also thick and chewy. It's a sweeter amber beer. Lots of caramel and butterscotch.

Picked up a single from the Party Source and paired it with some BBQ'd chicken.

It's always good to see new beer from Landmark Brewing. This ones a tasty and smooth amber that pairs earthy and citrus hops with mellow caramel malts. This definitely made for a good pairing with my meal and it's worth picking up to try out. I hope I can come across it on cask, as I've heard they've been serving it at festivals.

Kiernan calls Sunrise Amber a pseudo English style ale, so I figured it fit well into this style.

12 oz. bottle poured into a nonic.

Pours a crystal clear medium copper hue with a two finger light khaki head that slowly falls to a frothy layer of bubbles. Good amount of stick is left on the sides of the glass. Aroma consists of buttered biscuits, a touch of citrus, and sweet caramel malt. Underneath all that is a touch of evergreen and some toasted grains. Taste starts off with bready malts and grains with some earthy hops. Caramel and butterscotch midway with a gritty hop aftertaste that lingers. Light body with soft and creamy feel. Carbonation is mild and fits well in the overall mouthfeel. This beer was gone pretty damn quick, a session beer for sure so I'm happy I picked up a six-pack. I had this on cask at the Empire Brewfest in July and was blown away. Not as good in a bottle, but still a quality overall brew. Hopefully someday down the road we'll see it on cask at Blue Tusk or Clark's. A solid ale I can see becoming a regular in my fridge.
