Pours a darker golden brown color with a smallish off-white head that settled into a solid ring around the glass.
The aroma is of a bready amber malt, some caramel and some buttery notes. A bit of a metallic twang. Typical amber base. The pumpkin aroma is way too subtle. Perhaps some cinnamon and nutmeg but you really need to work for it.
The pumpkin spices are a little more noticable in the flavor. Light cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice. The malt has some light toast, rust, and a light buttery finish. A tad bitter in the end. Sort of has a carbonated water type aspect to it, probably from the active carbonation.
The feel is moderate with fizzy carbonation; good substantial feel. Sweet overall but again does have a rusty bitterness in the end. Very easy to drink.
A rather blah pumpkin. It is in desparate need of flavor. No real off flavors but seems more like an amber ale than pumpkin. Ok.
