Served from the tap in a small nonic glass at the brewpub.
In wrapping things up here at Stockholm's, I had to try the hard root beer. Had to. This stuff pours a deep midnight sienna topped by a finger of dusty cream foam. In other words, it pretty much looks like a root beer. The nose comprises cola, licorice, light wintergreen, maple syrup, and allspice. Yup, smells like root beer, too. The taste brings in more of the same, driving home the point that this hard root beer tastes like, well, like a regular root beer, just with a rather mild kick of booze in the background. The body is a light-leaning medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a slick feel. Overall, this is one tasty hard root beer. I think the booze adds a little something to their standard root beer, and, at last, I found the beer I would have plenty of if I ever return to this place. Very nice.
