Prices are ok and has an average selection, but for Sheridan, it is your best bet. Staff leaves you alone or helps if needed. No make your own 6 pack, and occasionally will have some discounted beer they are getting rid of.

A full service liquor store with a decent beer selection, especially for Sheridan, WY, where Coors light and Budweiser are the norm. The coolers have a good selection of mountain states brews, a good selection of national "small" breweries, and of course the big guys. They have part of a cooler dedicated to 22ozers too. The recent addition of a four tap growler bar makes this the "go to" store in Sheridan. Chatting with the guy filling my growler, there is a genuine love for beer here. They plan on stocking the growler bar with local mountain states brews that are generally not available bottled. I picked up a Ten Sleep Pale this time, had a Mojo Risin this winter, and plan to try an Oskar Blues Camp CANfusion Rye Bock next time in. This is a GREAT selection for Sheridan...hooray!

Full on liquor store with a decent beer selection of semi-local, regional, and national brands. One or two coolers worth of bombers and the rest were dedicated to sixers, 12-packs, cases, etc. No mix & match, no singles, nothing your average beer nerd would go crazy for, but a good selection for the area.

As a former resident of Sheridan, I must say that Star has a good deal going on. They always have cold beer on hand. Many different selections are always within reach. Friendly staff. The drive through is a kick..If your to drunk to walk..
There are many other "bars" in town, but you need to see this one. Watch out for the city PD though..They "Hawk" the bars and drive throughs looking for their next "statistic". BUT, if your careful you'll enjoy the experience in Sheridan.

A little liquor store just off the main drag of downtown Sheridan. Walk in the front door and to the back coolers located conveniently by the register to find a good selection of NW and Mountain area brews. Surprised to find the 2006 AK Smoked Porter and could not pass up a chance. Also grabbed a sixer of New Belgium's Biere de Mars, but had a choice of their standard lineup.
The man behind the counter commented on my selections, noting his interest in beers which is always good to hear. I noticed the drive-thru window and, being from Wisconsin, thought it to be a little odd (it is a liquor store) and funny, but this was easily topped after seeing a drive-thru window at a bar just a few towns over.
