This award winning, very pale brilliant blonde beer has citrus and summer fruit aromas making it an extremely refreshing ale.

On cask in York at The Blue Bell. I wasn't expecting too much from a "Blonde", since usually in the U.S. it seems like blonde ales are more of an afterthought for most craft breweries, but that is clearly not the case here. This was remarkably complex, with all kinds of floral, honey-like, biscuity (in the American sense, not in the British sense), grassy, buttery notes. Honestly one of my favorite beers of my entire trip to Yorkshire.

500 ml bottle, from Bier Huis, Ossett. ABV is 4.0%. Clear pale golden colour, moderate white head. Moderate aroma, a hint of citric hops. Citric hops in the flavour too, light bodied. Decent bitterness in the aftertaste.

On cask at the Market Tavern Altrincham
and despite a big boozy session in Mort Subite finished on absinthe I could detect a co2 blanket
Nice refreshing blonde, when drank on cask you pick up the subtle flavours that are lost bottling

Tasted by a half pint at the Swim Inn, a JDW pub in central Sheffield. Served by a hand pump w/ a sparkler.

A: bright pale straw hue, coming w/ a creamy white frothy head and plenty of microscopic fizziness in action.
S: a savoury-sweet and buttery touch of yeastiness comes along with some very mild wheat-ish grainy malts, while a peachy, citric edge of English hops and a lightly hay-ish tinge of Saaz hops both play the second fiddle. In the remote corner there seems to be a wee bit of spice.
T: floral as well as grape-fruity flavour leads towards sweet lemonade and lingering grainy malts, showing a rough balance b/w pale malts and zesty hops, before the dry-ish hoop bitterness takes over and leaves an herbal sweetness to mingle with the residual tangy mouthfeel.
M&D: microscopic fizziness makes a refreshing, albeit not spritzy, mouthfeel, befitting for this hoppy and light-bodied delicious Blonde Bitter.
