Not much to look at; very pale, clear, blush-gold with a fair, paper-white head. What an aroma, though! It smells exactly like a punnet of raspberries. Fresh, plump, tart rasperries! It's as though I can even smell the seeds. I'm amazed at how "natural" the aroma is. There isn't really much else going on - maybe a faint shortbread sweetness - but damn, the raspberry is just perfect. The taste is a bit of a letdown, as the raspberry flavor is a bit vague, hanging like a spectre behind a biscuity, caky, popcorn-like malt profile. It starts off tart, then turns quite nutty and grainy, then delicately bitter hops and the raspberries' tannic tartness come together to clench a dry finish. Slight and sprightly mouthfeel, perfect for the flavor. This is one of the better fruity wheats I've had, although it does lie somewhere on the underwhelming side of subtlety.
