I found this beer at a small boutique beer shop in Woori Yallock .It was relatively cheapand the shop keeper said it came from Geelong way. The bottle had very little info on the brewery or about the beer.A web search found it comes from the Geelong Brewery Site ,so I should have been forewarned as Geelong Brewery beers have been disappointing.
This beer was dark gold to teak and ever so slightly hazy.
Therewas an off white foamy headthat leaves some lacing. The bead is present but minimal.
There was a scanty aroma that was restrained maltiness. What there is is nice but there is just so little of it.
THere were some pleasant toffee flavours dominating the palate particularly on the aftertaste however there was a lack of depth of character and some staleness ion it all.
They have got the carbonation right , but there is no bitterness, so it is quite one dimensional.
This was better than their Draught, but lacking deoth and character.
Not unpleasant and better than many beers on offer but none too exciting

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
