Great IPA from Minerva, a nice balance of bitterness, citrus taste and sweetness.
Love that it comes in a fairly large 660 ml presentation, with its 8% alcohol is great for sharing.

Omg! A decent beer while in Puerto Vallarta?? Sign me up! I was so surprised that my hotel had an actual IPA. They didn't mention it when I asked what beers they had. I had to pointedly ask if they had an IPA. This one was actually 8% ABV and 60 IBU. I have to say this was solid. It was a bit uneven st points and could use a tad more hops, but overall a great DIPA bite of hops with a strong malt backbone. I will be drinking more of these while I'm here for sure.

Amber color with a thick off-white head with good retention and leaving laces.
Aroma with predominant notes of caramel and mild pine.
Flavor with notes of caramels, earthy, herbal and piney hops, flowers, biscuit and slightly toasted malts, mild grapefruit, resin and papaya.
Dry and bitter aftertaste. Given its sweetness the 60 IBUs does not show up.
Medium bordering full body with proper carbonation. Alcohol of 8% is very well disguised behind is heavy malt base.
I found this English IPA (bordering DIPA) somewhat too sweet with caramels predominating too much. My expectations also didn't help once I had some top notch American IPA in Mexico. But this beer is faithful to its style and if you like tradition this is a good local option.

Very nice mexican IPA from the largest craft brewery. Hard to find but nice to drink. Brewed using El Dorado hops it´s a nice example of the IPA style.
