Single bottles available from Beer Box in Condesa.
Pours golden-tinted orange, well-hazed, and with a solid, sticky and foamy tight cap of just-off-white. Really creamy looking head, very nice tawny body, just a great looking IPA.
Nose is of course a little muted by the head but still emits some pleasant notes of humulus lupulus alongside the caramel malt and a hint of brewer's salts. Tangerine and grapefruit especially, with a menthol backup of pine needles.
The flavor is a little stronger and nicer, with a balancing citric palate. Lots of grapefruit still, but complemented with orange and lemon - definitely the Cascade hopping with El Dorado backing up. Tomahawk is definitely present as well, with its characteristic herbal twist. Menthol backdrop which sticks around, and a grassiness that can be attributed to Perle. Malts are well-concealed, with a bit of caramel sweetness.
Although it's the only IPA I've drank since moving to Mexico, I'm pretty sure it's still damn good. Certainly for the environment it's quite impressive. On the whole, I prefer a brighter hopping and more assertive carbonation, but pinier and fuller in body works for me too. No complaints, and I will definitely get this again - Minerva, can you make me 24-packs? Or at least sixers??
