Shared bottle at RBNAG 2011. Reddish colour. Aroma and flavour of red berries, hints of oak. Decent.

A beautiful dark cherry color, with some haziness. White foam, creamy, quite compact.
In the smell, on a solid malty base, a delicate fruitiness, grapes, red fruit, blueberry. The alcohol is perceptible.
At the taste the alcohol is well hidden, so the delicate fruitiness rises up strongly. Blueberry, some "green" fruitness, some wood, well amalgamated with the malty base.
Good struciture, good body, but in the end a bit of heavyness, that let down the drinkability.
Yes, it is a barley wine, ok, but...
