Nice grape and a little grapefruit. Very light buddies got such high alcohol content. But at the end of the day a little too uncomplicated and not layered enough

22 oz. bottle poured into a snifter.
Cloudy dark amber-brown with a thin white head.
Nose: Yeast up front with banana and clove notes. Port is understated but present.
Taste: Similar to the nose with Belgian yeast up front with a strong dose of caramel malt. Port barrel comes in on the finish, stronger presence than the nose.
Feel: Medium body, low carbonation.

Look: Very dark chocolate brown, with a bit of translucence at the very bottom of the glass when held up to a light. Huge head of off-white foam that takes several minutes to go down.
Smell: Yeasty bread, wine-like fruitiness, treacle, and a noticeable alcohol bite.
Taste: Sweet raisin bread. Very fruity and sweet, with very little bitterness. Noticeable alcohol on the tongue. Almost like a cross between beer and tawny port.
Mouthfeel: A bit thicker than average with decent carbonation.
Overall: A beer that you drink like wine: in a nice glass, slowly savored.

looks beautiful in the glass! lots of candied sugar, slightly syrup-y, creamy feel on the tongue. almost fruit cake flavor but relatively easy to drink. love the caramel color! not bad!
