West Coast IPA with Mosaic, Krush, Nectaron and Columbus hops
KRBC had the pleasure of hosting the good folks from RIIP Beer Co. in Kernville.
"Snorkel Lips" is a term from the river world that describes the feeling of being stuck underwater with no air to breathe. In those moments, you’d probably wish your lips were longer, and onlookers might notice your carp-like behavior. While snorkel lips are usually something you'd want to avoid, this beer is definitely something to enjoy. We’ve teamed up with our friends and IPA legends at RIIP Beer Co. to bring you that refreshing gulp you’ve been craving. Kick back, stretch those liips (see what we did there?), and enjoy!

It’s good, but there’s just something missing (kind of like Stella McCartney, if you catch my drift). Like, Kern is badass enough to date a Beatle (even if it only had one leg). And it’s like that. Kern has the ability (and already has), made some Rubber Soul and White Album beers. But this one is more similar when The Beatles were singing about gum drops and lolly pops.

16 oz can into a nonic pint glass
Slightly opaque, orange-yellow appearance, and gentle pour yields a super sudsy head that leaves sticky lacing everywhere.
Dank nose, with discernable notes of orange pith and yeasty biscuits.
Flavors are citrus-forward, with plenty of classic WC IPA pine character and grapefruit rind. There's a honey-like, almost jammy sweetness toward the finish, which is crisp and clean short, with little lingering residuals.
Kern hasn't make a new concoction this crushable in a long time. Absolute knock out, cheers!
