EVERYBODY NEEDS A WEEKEND AT KERNIES
A WEEKEND IN KERNVILLE can become quite the adventure. Plot: Our heroes, the brewers from KRBC & Tarantula Hill, meet up to make an amazing Double IPA - then shenanigans ensue.
We don’t want to spoil the ending, but the storyline is full of exotic hops, the world’s best malts &
brewing secrets that we can’t disclose on this can. The good news is that what happens in Kernville
does not have to stay in Kernville. This beer is proof that good times make great beer.

From a can dated 7/30/25. Great DIPA from Kern River Brewing! Everyone knows the legend of their world famous Citra DIPA, but its availability makes it hard to enjoy on the regular. Enter Weekend at Kernie’s. This fills the gap. It’s is fruity, but professional. The quality is here. Just enough malt to make it serious, but this is a mango-apricot west coast DIPA for sure! Well made, and dangerously easy to drink! Fills a gap in their line up that has been needed for a long time. Well done KRB!

What is our current youthful generation called? Raul wouldnt know because he doesn’t do that kind of stuff. No sir. Nowhere will you see Raul refer to a group as ‘boomers’ or whatever. That said, this beer is for the youth. And to hell with it, ima call em the Dookie Generation. Because here we have an IPA that would appeal to those chaps. No malt. No high bitterness. No pine. No resin… All tropical fruity like some 20 year old who still eats fruity pebbles. I love Kern. But right now I’m outta here.
