16oz pint at Beer Revolution's Half Pints tap takeover.
This beer appears a clear, glassy medium golden amber hue, with one finger of tightly foamy, somewhat bubbly off-white head, which leaves some decent snow rime lace around the glass as things slowly dip away.
It smells of sugary, candy-like pale malt, a touch of caramelized toffee, and earthy, weedy, and leafy hops. The taste is more sweet, almost late harvest white wine fruitiness, lightweight caramel malt, and rather laid back earthy, leafy hops.
The bubbles are pretty low key, just a dull hum, the body sporting a so-so medium heft, with a generally agreeable smoothness. It finishes on the sweet side, the concentrated wine and neutered caramel notes kind of holding onto the headlines.
Sort of a strange treatment result for the ol' Bulldog standby. Not sure I'm in like with it, let alone in love, so Imma just gonna pass on this for the time being.
