2012 Edition. New malt bill with Zythos hops. Poured into a Sam Adams Perfect Pint glass at ~4C
A: Slight haze to a golden body with a nice fluffy white head that left decent amounts of lacing.
S: Nice light hop aroma comes off the beer initially with notes of grapefruit and citrus. As time passes the aroma becomes less pronounced leaving more grainy notes along with a touch of canned vegetables.
T: Bready malt and a light hop flavour comes through at first, but through the two I drank this afternoon it quickly drops off to a less enjoyable vegetal, almost meaty, body. Quite an odd body. If the original flavour stayed through the bottle, it would be a 4 (good)
M: Light bitterness that plays well with the body. Average carbonation.
O: An easy drinking beer, but like St. James, not a beer I would ask for unless there was no better option. Odd flavour in the body is a definite drawback.
