Thanks to tbadiuk for the bottle in a CANBIF! Bottle has 2.5 years of age.
Pours a deep black color with a nice dark brown head, good retention and bit of lacing. The nose is packed with boozy bourbon, vanilla, sweet malt, dark chocolate, coffee, maybe some molasses. The taste is similar with lots of dark chocolate, roasted malt, bourbon, vanilla, coffee. Big, thick body, smooth, silky with just enough carbonation. Overall, really nice, well balanced, easy drinking big-ass BBA stout. Hope they make more!!

Black as night with very little mocha head, some lacing but nothing great.
Very barrel forward almost enough to overpower everything else. Initially almost overly sweet, coffee and lots of barrel. Finds it's balance more so as it warms. Smooth and clean with a sweet finish. Lingering sweetness very similar caramels.
Be patient with this one, at first it wasn't overly exciting however is developed over time.

Poured a deep dark black brown with about a finger's worth of off-white head. The head didn't stick around for long, and what you are left looking at is a lovely shiny oil slick of beer in your glass. The smell was all bourbon initially, but as the beer warmed more came forward. There were elements of coffee, vanilla and sweet malts. The flavor follows the nose, and as this beer warmed it gave more and more flavor. I found the barrel very strong at first, but at the end the barrel was working quite well with the malts, vanilla and roasts in the beer. The feel was smooth with a medium body and lower carbonation. The booze was noticeable on this one, but not an intrusion, as a complement to the rest of the flavors.
When they say a beer is a sipper, this is what they mean. This beer just seemed to taste better sip after sip after sip. I was surprised at the changes in flavors from initial pour to finish. Take your time with this one, let it sit, and enjoy.

Minimal tan head. Subtle berry and chocolate aroma. Alcohol forward but not boozy. Wonderfully complex flavours. Started with a subtle dark berry note and quickly progressed to chocolate, coffee and licorice. Slight wood finish

Awesome bourbon and oak aroma and flavour. Initially a bit boozy, but there's a ton of underlying depth... Molasses, cocoa, field berry and a light liquorice. Well attenuated, with a drying alcohol finish.

650ml bottle.
Jet black with coffee head that dissipates quickly. Light bourbon and sugar aromas on the nose. Dates. Well intigrated bourbon, caramel, and coffee notes. Thick and slightly syrupy with moderate carbonation. Lovely with a little over year on it since bottling. A shame this is retired...
