Presentation: Old man time passes along his wisdom to the new year on a 1pint 6fl ozs brown bottle.
Appearance: Pitch black in colour with a tan, healthy looking, cream head.
Smell: Coffee, licorice and very slight burnt notes in the nose.
Taste: Creamy and smooth upfront with an earthy, acrid, sweet dextrin bridge to a fine meld of burnt flavours and leafy hop profile. The burnt flavours, from the Black Patent malt, lingers throughout the aftertaste.
Notes: Not that we'd know from taste, but from readings this has the characteristics of an Industrial English Porter and what we think a modern day porter should be. 5.2% abv.
